If you’re planning a trip and considering booking a private tour directly — not through a big platform – it’s completely normal to feel a bit unsure.
You’re not choosing a company. You’re choosing a person. And before you trust someone with your time, your money, and part of your vacation, you naturally want to know what to expect.
So let me introduce myself briefly: I’m Zuzana – a licensed guide and driver based in Prague. I’ve been doing this professionally since 2017, working with travelers from all over the world, as well as with Czech guests.
This short article isn’t about convincing you. It’s just a few honest thoughts from my side — what I focus on, what I care about, and what kind of experience you can expect if you decide to spend a day with me.
1. Reliability matters
When you book a private tour, you want to know the person leading it is solid – someone who shows up, is ready, and treats your time with respect.
I plan each day myself and guide it personally. And I keep my itineraries varied – not only to stay sharp, but because I genuinely want to keep enjoying the work I do. And I’m absolutely terrified of groups that walk the exact same route every day without the ability to customize.
I’ve never canceled a tour.
You’re trusting me with a day of your trip, and I take that seriously.
2. Payment & Cancellations
When you book a tour with me, I want the process to feel as smooth and safe as the tour itself.
I use Stripe – a secure, international payment system that lets you pay by card with confidence. You’ll receive a proper receipt, and I’m always happy to answer any questions before you confirm your booking.
Plans change sometimes – I get it. Life happens. If you need to cancel, just let me know as early as you can. If there’s enough notice, I’ll refund the full amount. And if something unexpected comes up, I’ll do my best to find a new date that works for both of us.
The goal is simple: for you to feel good not just about the tour, but about every step leading up to it.
3. The experience comes first
Every traveler is different. Some want a relaxed day with beautiful views, others like to dive deeper into history or culture. Some change their mind along the way – and that’s completely fine.
For me, it’s not about sticking to a fixed script. It’s about giving you a day that feels right.
If you want to stop for photos, take a little detour, or spend more time somewhere that catches your eye – I’ll do my best to make it happen.
If it makes sense and we have the time, I’m always happy to adjust.
That’s the difference with a private tour: you’re not following the group. The tour follows you.
4. Reviews matter
These days, everything depends on reviews – on Google, TripAdvisor, and even my own website. For small, independent guides like me, they’re critical. They help other travelers decide who to trust, and they allow me to keep doing what I love.
If you’ve read my reviews, I hope you can tell: they’re real. Written by people who spent the day with me, in their own words. I never ask for anything scripted or exaggerated.
To earn those reviews, I focus on one thing – your experience. When the day works for you, when you feel good about how it went, that’s when the review happens naturally.
Final thoughts
If you’re still unsure whether booking a private tour directly is the right choice – that’s completely okay. This text is here to let you know what I offer, how I work, and what you can expect if you decide to spend a day with me.
If you have questions, just send me a message. I’ll answer honestly and help you figure out if this is the kind of experience you’re looking for. And if it is – I’ll be ready, as always.
